Argosaronic Gulf Itinerary
DAY ONE - DEPART USA
Evening departure from USA on a transatlantic flight to Athens,Greece.
DAY TWO - ATHENS
Upon arrival in Athens, SAILING PARADISE host will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Early evening we will meet at the hotel for a wine and cheese reception, discuss your itinerary, you will meet your skippers and hostess, your travel companions and we will assign you to your yacht, Afterwards we are off to Athens' oldest and loveliest area of Plaka and enjoy a welcome dinner under the stars, enjoy Greek delicacies and experience some exquisite Greek dancing performances.

DAY THREE
ATHENS - SOUNION
After breakfast, sightseeing in Athens with your escort and Archaeological guide. Visit the Acropolis, Parthenon, Plaka (old Athens), and National Museum. After lunch, tour to Cape Sounion. Visit the temple dedicated to the Greek God of the Sea, Poseidon. Dinner on your own.
DAY FOUR
ATHENS - DELPHI
Tour the most spectacularly beautiful ancient site in Greece,the one that once was considered the center of the world, home of the ancient oracle, Delphi.Visit the ruins and the Museum. Lunch in a quaint Greek mountain village. Transfer to Athens. Dinner on your own. |

DAY FIVE
ATHENS - AEGINA
Morning free. Afternoon transfer to Marina Alimos to embark on your 7-day Aegean Odyssey yacht cruise. Sail to the Island of Aegina. Stop for a swim in the calm crystal clear bay and have late lunch on board. Sail to the ancient fishing village of Aegina Island. After mooring our yacht we all have a sunset drink in the cockpit. The evening is free. Shop and wander through the winding streets of this picturesque village, the choice is yours, and for dinner enjoy the catch of the day. |
DAY SIX
AEGINA - ISLAND OF KYRA - EPIDAVROS
Optional tour by bus or taxi to the 5th Century B. C. Temple of Aphaia can be arranged. (it is a historical fact that the Aphaia Temple at Aegina, the Poseidon Temple at Cape Sounion and Parthenon at Acropolis form the three angles of an equilateral triangle). After breakfast we will sail towards the island of Kyra. Drop anchor into the south bay of the island for a refreshing dip and have lunch. Early evening we sail to the harbour of Palea Fokea (Epidavros). Evening free.

DAY SEVEN
EPIDAVROS -
POROS
For History enthusiasts, an optional tour to the Ancient Theatre of Epidavros can be arranged. Set sail to the peaceful island of Poros.On the way drop anchor to one of the numerous beautiful bays for a swim and water sports, have a quiet and relaxing lunch on board and arrive before sundown in picturesque Poros, where the approach by sea is the most attractive and beautiful in Greece. Join us for a walkaround town and have a real Greek "glenti" (Dinner with Greek dancing in one of the local Taverns - optional) |
DAY EIGHT
POROS - ISLAND OF SOUPIA -
HYDRA
Sail to the Island of Hydra, today a fashionable resort for the rich and famous. On the way drop anchor to a bay in the Island of Soupia on the Pelloponese coast. Swim, windsurf,sunbathe and snorkel or take a short ride with the boat's dinghy.Have lunch on board and an early evening sail to Hydra. The town of Hydra "Little England" remains architecturally very much of the 18th and 19th centuries with large stately homes built around the natural amphitheatre above the harbour. Its timeless charm is preserved by the absence of automotive transport In the harbour area. Wonderful numerous cafes, shops,art galleries, jewelry shops and restaurants will entice you with colorful wares. We recommend shopping and sightseeing in Hydra.
DAY NINE
HYDRA - DOKOS ISLAND -
SPETSES
Sail towards the graceful Island of Spetses,an island mostly covered with pinetrees. Drop anchor for a refreshing swim and enjoy lunch on the Island of Dokos, Experience one of the most primitive and virgin bay setups ideal also for overnight staying. Overnight, moor at Paleo Limani (Old Harbour) in Spetses with many Grand Houses that makes it a wonderful place to wander around. At night visit "Dapia" (old town of Spetses) with its numerous cafes, shops and restaurants.
DAY TEN
SPETSES - DOKOS - HERMIONI
Today partcipate in our "Sailing Regatta" from Spetses to Dokos Island. You are invited to attend a Beach Barbeque party. A Greek dance contest will be held with bouzouki music and lots of fun. Afterwards, enjoy an award ceremony for the winners of the sailing Regatta and Dance contest. Stay overnight at the bay or sail to Hermioni, for an overnight stay on the coast of Pelloponese, which has been relatively untouched by tourism. On the South side of the head-land where things are peaceful, you can sit at a bar on the waterfront with wonderful views over the water. According to Pausanias, a festival in honor of Poseidon was held here and it is possible that Hermioni was the site of the first small boat Regatta in recorded history.
DAY ELEVEN
HERMIONI - POROS - MARINA ALIMOS
On the way to the peaceful Island of Poros, you may stop to enjoy a refreshing swim and have lunch on board. Sail back to Marina Alimos in Athens. Transfer to and check in at your hotel. In the evening attend your farewell dinner party and awards ceremony. A "Certificate of Seamanship" will be awarded to those who partcipated in sailing the yacht.
DAY TWELVE
Transfer to the airport. Depart Athens International East Terminal. Arrive at you home town airport at the same day.
